Trenton, MO

From Idaho, we moved to Trenton, Missouri, where we lived until I was about a quarter of the way through Kindergarten. While we were there, we lived in two different places. I don't really remember the first place at all. I know we lived down the street from Jo and Tom, who are remembered in a different post, and I remember their house, but no memory of my own. (Isn't it funny which things stick and which things don't?) The second place we lived was a house, and I think it was grey. No idea if that is right or not. I don't remember anything about that house, either, except that we had a basement where we would ride our big wheels around and around in circles.

When we lived in Trenton, we visited Nauvoo. Here are some pictures of us kids in front of a sun stone. They are just so old, and not the best quality, but I'm glad to have them.

Idaho

I did not grow up as a military kid. Still, we moved a lot, probably more than your average family moves. My dad was a radio disc jockey for the first 11 or so years of my life, and different job opportunities would open up in different places.

I was born in Preston, Idaho, at the Franklin County Hospital. My older brother Sam was born there, too. We lived in several different towns in Idaho before we left the state. I don't think I really remember any of them, but over the years here and there my parents would mention things about where we lived, so here's the best I can do. We lived in Preston, Garden City, St. Mary's, Iona, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello. It is possible that my parents lived in some of these places before I was born, but probably not, since Sam was also born in Preston only 10 months after my parents were married. My sister, Celeste, was born in Pocatello, so I know we were still in Idaho when I turned three. I'm pretty sure Sam never went to elementary school in Idaho, so that means we left Idaho shortly after Celeste was born.
