Oak Park Fun

Whipped cream in the face. I can’t even come close to guessing why we did this, but I can guarantee you it was fun! This is Staci, me and Jason Harrington. (P.S. I loved, loved, loved my overalls. Overalls were the “in” thing at the time, so I made sure I had a pair, and I wore them a lot)!

Here are Patty, Staci and Celeste eating brownie dough in the kitchen.

Here is Patty in my living room, eating…something. Ha ha!

Here I am making eggs. Apparently someone thought we needed a picture of me making eggs.

Here we all are, breaking my couch. The broken couch was a major source of fun teasing for a long time. I blamed Brooks, but really, it was the whole dog pile that did in that poor, old piece of furniture.

Oak Park: Queen of My Castle

After my first year teaching, I moved to a one bedroom apartment in a complex called Oak Park, which was directly across from Walmart. It was a great "first apartment," up to date and with nice carpet and features, and a fenced patio. There was a little park across from the front of the apartment. It was a no big deal kind of a place, but it was probably the nicest place I'd ever lived in, and for the first time, I was Queen of my Castle--even as small as it was. That was the only time in my entire life I lived completely by myself.

Here are some pictures I found online. Not my apartment, but it kind of gives you an idea.

This is what my kitchen looked like, except no mirror, and my stuff was in it.
